A numerical research on the interaction between underwater explosion bubble and deformable structure using CEL technique

The dynamic process of an underwater explosion (UNDEX) bubble in the vicinity deformable structures is a complex phenomenon that has been studied by many researchers. UNDEX transient problem results highly distorted and large deformation structure. previous work introduced various solutions for studying interaction between nearby widely solved combination boundary element method (BEM) finite (FEM). However, this couple requires tight time-step controlling, long-time analysis, computer resources. Furthermore, not used as FEM code commercially available software solving problems. This paper presents coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) approach commercial to deal with fluid-structure (FSI). numerical model first developed verified comparing experimental, BEM, empirical data. Then both behavior structural are examined case studies. show stiffness structure strongly influenced water jet development. pressure pulse becomes significantly collapse. Besides, also can reproduce crucial phenomena bubble, such whipping effect attacks. Although using simplified conditions, proposed shows feasibility simulating important features well response structures.
